House Rules

Our property is pet friendly! (There is a pet fee) We ask that you please clean up after your four-legged companions and only bring pets that are house-broken, but please remember that dogs are only truly house-broken in their own houses. We would appreciate your taking them out frequently! The other important stuff: Please respect the quiet hours of the neighborhood (10pm - 8am) - Gas for the grill is provided - Please use the outdoor shower for you and your pets after returning from the beach. - If you are leaving for a long period of time, please close windows in case a storm quickly blows in off the bay. - Don't burn the place down. Flameless candles only please. - Drippy, sticky food belongs at the table - not the sofa. - Sunblock should be applied outside. Not only will it stain anything, we don't want the floors turned into an ice skating rink for you The really important stuff: - Limit 1 dog per stay, unless specifically approved by the host. $40 per day - $100 late checkout fee, unless specifically approved by the host - $500 smoking fee per day of rental. We are a smoke free and vape free property. - No unregistered guests or pets - No unapproved groups larger than 8 at the property at any time, subject to immediate removal with no refund -Please flush only toilet paper -- no feminine products, wipes of any kind, paper towels, tissues, basketballs or anything else that I can't think of at the moment. No parties or groups. Quiet hours are 9pm-8am. Note: We provide a few rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, a few laundry pods and some kitchen spices to get you started. When these items run out guests are responsible for supplying them. Follow check out instructions are posted on the refrigerator. The home and property is expected to be maintained nicely by our Guests. Anything that has been broken, left in poor condition, extra cleaning, dog poop left in yard, dishes left in dishwasher, courtesy towels, left for us and anything outside of the way you found property when you came, we will charge guests.

Other Details to Note

Please note that while the beaches are ideal for kayaking, walking, fishing, or watching the sun set, this beach is not ideal for swimming because of how shallow the bay is. There is also a 5 foot tide that causes the water to recede and reveal tidal pools. We recommend you download a tide clock app to track the tides for ideal kayaking! Lastly, the Delaware Bay is the largest breeding ground for horseshoe crabs in the world! These incredible animals date back over 445 million years and are described as living fossils. Their peak time on land is mid-May through mid-June, but you will see many horseshoe crab shells on the beach, which is left in a natural state.

Clean, peaceful, comfortable, spacious, and terrific sunset views! We all enjoyed three wonderful nights at Kyle's lovely home and got in our steps (three separate floors). The kitchen/great room was a terrific gathering place for meals and we played tons of games together and made lots of memories. Thanks to Kyle for being a very thoughtful host and stocking his home full of amenities! We would definitely book again!

Kyle was an excellent host. The place was beautiful and the best Airbnb I’ve stayed at yet. The sunset views were spectacular! We had fun playing pool. My adult children had a great time. Very peaceful and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. Even though the bay beach isn’t swimmable it has its own charm. I wish we had more days there, but unfortunately I had a last minute business meeting, and Kyle actually refunded me a night stay at the last minute notice. Kyle always checked in on us , and was very responsive when contacted. Love the place felt right at home. Would love to live there permanently! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Cathy

Beautifully appointed three-level house with fantastic view of the Delaware Bay. One minute walk to bayside beach, and easy 20-minute drive to downtown Cape May and ocean side. Quiet area and friendly neighbors. Fantastic kitchen has everything you’d need, plenty of light and ventilation everywhere, Roku tv, game room, plus towels, chairs, and beach umbrellas in garage. CVS and Wawa right down the street on main drag, liquor store a short drive. Only point of caution is… lots of stairs! Be prepared for lots of up-and-down. All-around fantastic rental.

This area is a nature-lover’s paradise: from the horseshoe crabs who have made a yearly pilgrimage to our white sand beaches for millions of years, to the endangered migratory birds who stop here to feed on their monumental journey North. Don’t forget to bring your scope to watch our stunning local bald eagles and osprey hunt just off-shore, or catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins playing in the surf! The beach right down the street is open to dogs outside the hours of 11am and 4pm in-season. The beach is also closed between May 7th and June 7th for bird migration, but beach access just 3 blocks north is open year-round! The surrounding area is packed with things to do: spend the day roaming nearby downtown Cape May, America’s first seashore resort (4 beach tags included with your stay), sample one of the many local wineries and craft breweries, take an afternoon to visit the Cape May County Zoo, charter a whale and dolphin watching boat, sign up for a tour of the back bays, hike the high dune trail, climb to the top of the Cape May lighthouse, ride the rides at the Wildwood boardwalk, or watch the flag ceremony at Sunset beach. Smaller grocery runs or quick food is less than a mile away at a Wawa, and the Rio Grande shopping area is less than 4 miles away.
